Ram Jhula Rishikesh, Uttarakhand

Ram Jhula Rishikesh is a suspension bridge which is located in the Uttarakhand state of India. Although both Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula are the main tourist places of Rishikesh, Ram Jhula is slightly different from Laxman Jhula. The boat runs in Ram Jhula, which crosses the river to move tourists from one ghat to another. Apart from this, Ram Jhula has a connection with Bollywood too, many Bollywood films have been shot here.

Ram Jhula is a little bit longer then Laxman Jhula the length of Ram Jhula is 450 feet. This bridge connects the Shivanand Ashrama and Swargashram. Ram Jhula Rishikesh was constructed in 1980’s. Ram Jhula is located 3 km away from Rishikesh city and it comes in Dehradun district. This bridge is dedicated to Lord Rama who is the ender brother of Lord Laxman and avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Yoga and Mediation: Early in the morning this place is best for Yoga and Meditation. Because Rishikesh is the World Yoga Capital, so doing yoga here brings happiness to the mind.

Boating: The visitors can also cross Ganga river by boat which is available near Ram Jhula. During peak season there is too rush in Ram Jhula, in that case, the visitors can experience boating.

Shopping: There are many shops on both sides of the bridge from where the visitors can purchase things.

How to reach Rishikesh Laxman Jhula

From Rishikesh railway station Laxman Jhula is 9 km away. The nearest airport from Lakshman Jhula Rishikesh is Jollygrant airport which is 30 km away. To reach Laxman Jhula from the railway station and airport the visitors have to hire a cab. From Rishikesh, the visitors either rent a bike or take an auto to reach Laxman Jhula. All type of bus services is available from different cities of India to Rishikesh. The bridge is located 22 km away from Haridwar.
